Communication Committee

The Communication Committee of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Pharmacy at the University of Sassari is the body responsible for designing, coordinating, and monitoring all promotional and informational activities aimed at both the academic community and the general public. Established by the Department Council with a three-year mandate, the Committee is chaired by a Communication Coordinator appointed by the Department Director and includes, at minimum, representatives from all sectors of the Department: at least one faculty member or researcher, one student representative, and one member of the technical-administrative staff.

The Committee’s tasks include designing and managing promotional campaigns for degree programmes, producing outreach materials (brochures, newsletters, social media content), disseminating news about cultural and scientific events, and enhancing the visibility of research activities and scientific results through appropriate communication channels. The Committee also collaborates with other University bodies and offices to ensure coherence and synergy in communication strategies and provides input on initiatives aimed at strengthening the Department’s visibility.

Convened and coordinated by the Communication Coordinator, the Committee organizes its work through an internal regulation, periodically updated, and at the end of each academic year presents a report to the Department Council on the activities carried out and an action plan for the following year. Through this coordinating role, the Committee plays a key part in promoting the image, educational opportunities, and scientific excellence of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Pharmacy.
